take my life

nothing much to blog about, beyond the normal, daily grind of work... at the same time, struggling with assignments... a report which is worth 30% of my grade on one of the modules i've taken is due this weekend... and, The Wife's college has just had their semester exams, so she's got hundreds of scripts to mark in just a few days... so last night, i helped her mark the objective parts... and the cough i was battling with in the previous post, is almost completely vanquished... but it stubbornly remains as an irritating tickle at the back of my throat, and threatens to make a comeback...

anyway, this morning, on the bus to work, i was singing this softly to God:

Take my Life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee
Take my Moments and my Days
Let them flow in ceaseless praise
Let them flow in ceaseless praise

Take my Voice and let me sing
Always, only for my King
Take my Lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee
Filled with messages from Thee

Take my Hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love
Take my Feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee
Swift and beautiful for Thee
[this isn't about pedicures by the way. it's a reference to Isaiah 52:7. if you don't know it, go look it up in your Bible now! or, search www.biblegateway.com...=)]

Take my Silver and my Gold
Not a mite would i withold
Take my intellect and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose
Every power as Thou shalt choose

Take my Will and make it Thine
It shall be no longer mine
Take my Heart, it is Thine own
It shall be Thy royal throne
It shall be Thy royal throne

Take my Love, my Lord, i pour
at Thy feet its' treasure store
Take Myself, and I will be
Always, only, all for Thee
Always, only, all for Thee

Hope i didn't irritate the other passengers on the bus! =P

and Lord,
May the Words which i sing and the Words which i say
Be Reality and Truth as i walk in Your way
Help me to keep stubborn self-will at bay
Striving to follow Your footsteps each day
Amen.

pedicures! haha that's funny :P

we sang that hymn in church today. 'not a mite would i withold' isn't as easy as everyone sings it to be, huh?

yeah, this hymn is a difficult one... if only i could live all the hymns that i've sung, and apply all the scriptures that i've understood... still working on it, heheh
